Cyberpunk 2077 Updates Revealed
The time has come for Cyberpunk 2077 to be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X. Both versions are currently live and available.
The game’s first release, which was for PS4, PC, and Xbox One dates back to December 2020. The launch wasn’t 100% smooth, though. The action RPG set in an open world by CD Project Red struck critics with its well-built world and narrative. Unfortunately, it wasn’t free of performance issues. Some bugs proved critical to the point of being game-breakers, causing mixed reception by players and leading it to be removed from PlayStation Store.
The new-generation version of Cyberpunk 2077 has been presented today during a live stream. Owners of the initial PS4/Xbox One edition have been offered a free upgrade to PS5 or Xbox Series X/S. The former category of players will have to download it manually, while Xbox Owners can count on the Smart Delivery system. This upgrade is completely free-of-charge for all platforms.
This recent update comes with numerous quality-of-life improvements such as enemy AI tweaks and serious graphic enhancements, such as the ability to see ray-traced local light shadows at 30 fps. The Performance Mode enables up to 60 fps with 4k DRS. The map has been retouched to make it more intuitively understandable, and vehicle handling has been improved considerably. Crowds now behave differently as compared to the previous edition, which also adds to the overall user experience.
Apart from that, players will see a selection of new weapons and a rebalanced economy. Customization fans will have greater freedom when it comes to tweaking V’s appearance, and apartment, too.
