Uncovering the Benefits of the Minecraft Recovery Compass
Minecraft recently added the recovery compass to its lineup of helpful items. This compass has one sole purpose – to help you retrieve your lost items. It’s not like Jack Sparrow’s magical compass that can take you anywhere, but it’s useful nonetheless. When equipped, the compass points you to the spot that you last died in.
The recovery compass is an incredibly handy item to have on you after an unexpected death. But, it only works if the player holding it has died in the same dimension as the one in which they currently are. If these conditions aren’t met, the compass will spin around, completely useless.
If you’re looking to craft your own recovery compass, the recipe is simple. You’ll need one compass and eight echo shards. The echo shards are the newest addition to the crafting game and can only be found in the Minecraft ancient city biome found in the Deep Dark. The only current use for echo shards is to make recovery compasses, so you won’t have to worry about competing priorities.
To create the compass, you’ll need to place the compass in the middle of the crafting grid and surround it with the eight echo shards. You can also stack recovery compasses, so if you think you’ll be dying a lot, you can be prepared.
The Minecraft recovery compass is a great tool to have, especially when the unexpected happens. With the right ingredients and a little bit of luck, you’ll be able to find your lost items in no time
